If you’re one of the millions of Americans suffering from dry eye, you have likely experienced the uncomfortable sensation of waking up to scratchy, gritty eyes.
Because the eyes often do not close entirely during sleep, the tears can easily dry out overnight, causing a dry, painful start to the day.
For me, investing in a humidifier has worked wonders for my chronically dry eyes. The humidifier does it work while I sleep peacefully; over time, the use of a humidifier has significantly improved the condition of my eyes. (Added bonus: it’s also improved the condition of my skin!)

Which humidifier is best for you?
Humidifiers come in a variety of shapes and sizes!
When selecting a humidifier, it is important to keep in mind the size of the space and the scope of use. Some humidifiers are small enough to fit on a desk, while other humidifiers are designed to cover multiple rooms or even an entire home.
For people suffering from dry eye, it is recommended that your humidifier be placed directly in your bedroom or wherever you sleep, so that you are exposed to a steady stream of mist while you sleep. In some cases, it may be helpful to have a large whole house humidifier and a smaller bedroom humidifier.
